Cobra Pose: Lie on your stomach with your hands under your shoulders, then press into your hands to lift your chest off the ground. Keep your elbows close to your body.
Happy Baby Pose: Lie on your back, then grab the outside of each foot and bring your knees towards your armpits. Rock back and forth to massage your lower back.
Savasana: Lie on your back with your arms and legs relaxed, and simply focus on breathing and letting go of any tension in your body.
It’s important to listen to your body and not push yourself too far, especially if you’re new to yoga. Start with a few of these exercises and gradually add more as you become more comfortable and confident in your practice. Getting a Yoga Mat will greatly improve your yoga experience.
Performing yoga outside can be a wonderful way to connect with nature and deepen your practice. Here are some tips for practicing yoga outside:
- Choose a comfortable spot: Look for a quiet and peaceful spot in nature, such as a park, beach, or backyard. Make sure the ground is even and free of any sharp objects or rocks. Consider getting a Yoga Mat as well, because avoiding these conditions may help, but a Yoga Mat will ensure a well-rounded opportunity for a significantly more enjoyable yoga experience.
- Dress appropriately: Wear comfortable and breathable clothing that allows you to move freely. Consider the weather conditions and bring extra layers if needed.
- Bring a Yoga Mat: Even if you’re practicing on grass or sand, a yoga mat can provide extra cushioning and support. You can also use a beach towel or blanket as an alternative.
- Stay hydrated: Bring a water bottle with you and drink plenty of water before, during, and after your practice.
- Adjust for the environment: Be mindful of the natural elements around you, such as wind or sunlight, and adjust your practice accordingly. For example, you may need to adjust your poses to maintain your balance in the wind or move to a shadier area to avoid direct sunlight.
- Respect nature: When practicing yoga outside, it’s important to be mindful of your impact on the environment. Avoid damaging plants or disturbing wildlife, and always clean up after yourself.
Remember to be present and enjoy the beauty of nature while you practice yoga outside. It can be a wonderful way to deepen your connection to the world around you. To ensure comfort, we recommend using a Yoga Mat.
